Local
Union #3 of The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers
is
the largest local union within the IBEW and has the most highly trained,
skilled and experienced electricians in the industry.
In
coordination with The Joint Industry Board of the Electrical Industry,
administers the Joint Apprentice Training Program, resulting in New York
City having the most qualified, highly trained, skilled and experienced
electricians in the electrical industry. |

The
Joint Industry Board of the Electrical Industry
is
a partnership between New York City electrical contractors and Local Union
#3 of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.
The
Joint Industry Board of the Electrical Industry administers the of
IBEW Local Union No. 3. Apprentice candidates receive 35 hours per week
of on-the-job training for 5-1/2 years with and must successfully pass
college Associate degree course requirements. The Joint Board administers
OHSA safety training programs, administers educational and cultural programs,
in addition to administration of employee benefit plans for IBEW Local
Union No. 3 members. |

The
Association of Electrical Contractors
is
a trade organization dedicated to addressing issues affecting the electrical
construction industry in New York City.
The
AEC represents qualified and reliable union electrical contractors in the
five boroughs of the City of New York as well as in Westchester county
and maintains an excellent working relationship with Local Union No. 3,
IBEW, to provide state of the art technology and high quality installations
"for the benefit and safety of our clients and the public we serve." |

National
Electrical Contractors Association - New York City Chapter
is
the largest chapter of the National Electrical Contractors Association,
the country’s largest association of electrical contractors and the voice
of the $100 billion industry. NECA contractors are responsible for lighting,
power, and communication systems in buildings and communities across the
United States. Members are among the very finest in New York City and Westchester
and Fairfield Counties.
NECA
New York works to promote higher standards, quality workmanship and training
for a skilled workforce, while advancing the industry through advocacy,
education, research and standards development. NECA New York is responsible
for negotiating and administering labor agreements with Local Union #3
of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. |
